Service Description

Our tiling course has been expertly designed to give you the basic skills required to carryout tiling jobs around the home. The three-day course is comprised of: • Overview of different types of tiles and their suitability for various rooms and surfaces. • Setting out tiles to ensure accurate alignment and symmetry. • Identifying a level starting point and securely fixing a batten to support the first row of tiles. • Commencing tile installation using correct placement. • Explanation of different tile adhesives and their appropriate uses. • Introduction to tile spacers and their role in maintaining consistent grout lines. • Tiling using brick bond to form a pyramid. • Application of metro tiles, including techniques for aligning and integrating new tiles with existing tiled surfaces. • Preparation and installation techniques for larger format tiles, including handling, spacing, and achieving a level finish. • Measuring, cutting, and applying tiles to an aperture wall while maintaining consistent spacing and alignment. • Application of grout between tiles and correct use of silicone sealant to seal edges and joints. • Cleaning and finishing procedures to ensure a professional final appearance.
