Service Description

Our decorating course has been expertly designed to give you the basic skills required to carryout decorating jobs around the home. The three-day course is comprised of: • Preparation of surfaces to ensure they are smooth and suitable for decorating. • Measuring and accurately cutting paper-faced polystyrene coving. • Positioning and fixing coving to achieve neat joints. • Measuring and cutting blown vinyl wallpaper to the correct dimensions for ceiling application. • Application techniques for fixing blown vinyl wallpaper to a ceiling surface. • Preparation of newly plastered walls and application of lining paper to create a smooth base for decoration. • Application of the first coat of emulsion paint to the ceiling. • Application of the second coat of emulsion to the ceiling for full coverage and an even finish. • Application of undercoat and gloss paint to woodwork, including correct preparation and finishing techniques. • Measuring, cutting, and applying blown vinyl wallpaper to an aperture wall. • Application of emulsion paint to the aperture wall. • Hanging patterned wallpaper on previously lined walls, ensuring correct matching, alignment, and a professional finish.
